Kong Yen Lin is a city dweller and writer whose ultimate ambition is to devote most of her life to journalism and art before retiring as a hermit at 55. She suffers from frequent bouts of restlessness and crankiness and finds the best remedies not just in getting busy, but also in silence, solitude, countrysides, mountain trekking, bicycles, blue skies and the sun.

Yen Lin is currently working full time as a photo sub-editor for a news agency. Born and based in Singapore, she has participated as a guest curator in Brighton Photo Fringe’s Open 2011. She is also the Student Education Programmes Manager for the 2012 Singapore International Photography Festival. On days when she is not working, she is most likely found volunteering as a docent at the local art museum.
